I have to admit I didn't expect seeing this trend so soon - pleats have been very important the past few seasons, though more localized (so I suppose it is in good time, then).  A great accent on skirts of all lengths!

This trend came up in many different forms - lace overlays on solid dresses, sheer layers gathered over other fabrics, interesting cut-outs and perforations.

Different colors, different furs... a very fun, unusual look.

preen pre-fall 2012

I can't quite emphasize enough how much I love this collection.  It captures this season's "it" color in its best light - bright orange cries out for minimalism and contrast.  The prints in these pieces are fantastic in their color (and of course I love the sweater print).
